These are selected Jujutsu Kaisen pieces pulled from the Anime Expo collections. The intention was to create pieces that contained unique callouts to characters from the anime due to the rising popularity of ‘subtle’ design within the field of anime apparel & merch.
[ Toji | Heavenly Restriction Compression Tee ]
This piece was inspired by Toji from Jujutsu Kaisen. He wears a tight fitted black shirt in the anime and he has a strong muscular figure.
Many anime fans who also work out have been inspired by Toji’s physique, so I felt it was appropriate to create a compression tee using his emblem and typography of his ‘Heavenly Restriction’.
It’s comfortable, tight fitted, and at anime expo, many Toji cosplayers actually ended up buying this shirt at the convention and wearing it as part of their cosplay.

[ Yuji Windbreaker ]
This windbreaker was inspired by Itadori Yuji’s outfit in the anime. He wears a red hoodie underneath his school uniform jacket.
I decided to do a windbreaker with with color blocking for the hoodie and front pocket, to pay homage to his original design.
I also used his character emblem, the japanese Jujutsu Kaisen logo with the school emblem, and typography on the back as a call back to his school ‘Tokyo Jujutsu High School’.

[ Sukuna Knit Sweater ]
This piece is based on the main villain of Jujutsu Kaisen, Sukuna.
The graphics are reminiscent of the tattoos or markings on his body. I chose to do a knit sweater so that I could have the markings directly stitched into the fabric so that the design would not just disappear over time, much like his tattoos.
I also chose this style because I was seeing it become more popular in fashion and since this piece would be debuting at Anime Expo, all the more reason to have a unique fit.

[ Choso Convergence Hoodie ]
This piece features the character Choso, with emphasis on his cursed technique ‘convergence’.
The front logo is the Japanese version of the Jujutsu Kaisen logo and I decided on raised embroidery because it has a nice hand feel and can last through time without the logo fading.
The back graphic is screen printed and was achieved by combining concept art and official licensed key art of Choso in various poses, custom typography, and custom ‘blood splatter’ graphics to further emphasize that his technique used blood.
When designing this piece, I intended for the hoodie to be a boxy fit with a drop shoulder. It keeps its structure while being worn and is still comfortable to move around in.
